We acknowledge receipt of daily report of the above policy coverage $400,000 insurance on a Dodge touring car purchased new in 1918 and from which we believe the year model of the car is 1918.
We also note your remarks thereon as follows-
"This car although bought in 1918, has run less than 150000 and is worth $700.00" and even though this car has only run that distance and is worth $700.00, to the assured, the fact still remains it is now eight years old.
Motor-Fax, a California Dealers' Publication quotes $60.00 as the going figure on a 1919 car of this Make, and type in good condition, and in our opinion we believe that $100.00 insurance would be ample for this car.
It is our desire not to insure cars for more than the assured could possibly hope to collect in case the car were stolen and never recovered, or totally destroyed by fire and we would much have a controversy when the loss occurs.
Will you kindly favor us with your advice at your early convenience, and oblige.
